Behringer U-Phoria UMC22 - Alternate Driver . Hi! I've had my Uphoria UM2 for 9 months and this is what it sounds like recently. This is with a new USB cable, MULTIPLE driver updates (the Behringer drivers disable the device entirely), plugged into different USB plugs, etc.

Thanks a lot! Hi Michael, we'll never know, but I'd say, as this driver used to be the one for almost all Behringer audio interfaces, and now they use different drivers for each one, I think Behringer hasn't bothered in developing a custom driver for this cheap low range interface while it work with the standard ASIO. I just bought this interface, and I came across your blog post, greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot, man! I was thinking that my interface had some problem on the second input.
That post was really helpful! Could u helpit has been frustrating trying to get a answer from Berhringer. UM2 doesn't have a volume control knob for the headphones. So how do we control the volume of our headphone while on direct monitoring?
Hi Saptarshi, the right knob is for that purpose. If you want to control the volume of direct monitoring and what comes from the PC independently, behringer uphoria um2 driver download, as everything is output through the headphones, you can adjust the PC sound in Windows and then control the overall headphone output with the knob, that's what I do.
Behringer uphoria um2 driver download Jermel, in order to use a condenser mic properly you need to activate phantom power switch in the back and use a proper cable with XLR in both ends. First I'd input something simple like a MP3 player to make sure everything ir working. Not to mention, obviously, you need an audio recording software like Audacity to pick the sound. Trying to output the sound straight through the computer speakers is pointless because of latency problems, for real time listening you have to use the direct monitoring button, which is intended for that purpose.
My operating system is windows 7 32bit Please I need help. Great, can't thank you enough for this. Not only does the Behringer site re-direct you, the link is not working most times time out issues. The drivers you have hosted are exactly what I need. Thank you so very much. Cheers Wayne. Hey do you have any idea if this works with android? I'm currently using a behringer uca for a nexus 7 car install but never got the mic working becuase the uca behringer uphoria um2 driver download line inputs, behringer uphoria um2 driver download.
Also I can't find any specs on the UM2 to see what kind of mic input levels it accepts. I measured the factory mic in my car and it was ohm And last question is the output control knob for the headphones only or for both headphones and rca output? Hi Steeven, as for the Android question, sorry man, no idea about that. I neither have an Android phone to try. The specs on inputs levels and impedances can be found in the user manual, page Thanks a lot for that very quick reply.
I may just get it from bestbuy and give it a shot to see if it works, behringer uphoria um2 driver download. I got a UM2 yesterday and couldn't use the instrument input.
Thanks to your efforts, I was able to install the drivers and now I have both inputs. Great job! Hey, i clicked the link but the setup doesn't work do you have any idea what the problem could be? Great post btw! Yes, your problem can be W The only thing I can suggest is trying to install it in compatibility mode, selecting Windows 7.
If this works for you, please reply so we can know. I was able to run the program in compatibility mode for windows 8 and have the drivers install properly, but only when I started with the device unplugged and plugged it in when prompted. Before, there was static in the background of my Mic.
Now, since windows detects the input as "line in", Behringer uphoria um2 driver download am only picking up audio in my left ear, and there is no way to change the recording device from 2 channel back to 1 channel which is how I fixed the problem before.
Any help on this issue would be great. Any updates for windows 10? I need a driver for the um2 audio interface as the 2. Using the mp3 player test we have verified device functionality. Thx a lot. Why is that? Obviously it records in mono, because if you connect either a mic with a XLR plug or a line input with behringer uphoria um2 driver download jack, both are mono inputs.
There is no way you can get a stereo recording from one input. In fact, if you try to record stereo, what behringer uphoria um2 driver download get is input 1 in the L channel and input 2 in the R. Yeah but I assume the point would be to use the two line ins at the same time but since it records one line in to the left and the other to the right it's kind of useless.
Can't I undo this whole stuff? It isn't useless, you are supposed to split the L and R signal in your audio editor and you're done, behringer uphoria um2 driver download, you come up with 2 mono signals. I don't know what software you use, behringer uphoria um2 driver download, but in Audacity is dead simple. What they did was something very clever to keep it simple. If you want to receive the audio in your PC as 2 independent sources you can use the current drivers from the manufacturer website, but you'll need a good audio editor that supports it and ASIO.
I tried, but I can't think of any advantage of doing this. To make your computer recognise the interface as the first time, I guess it'll do the trick if you uninstall the driver from the Device Manager. Plug the interface, go to Device Manager and find it may be under audio or USB stuffright click, uninstall, behringer uphoria um2 driver download. Then you may need to unplug and plug the thing or even restart the PC. Hey, could you help me again please?
The first problem is that I want to record drums with UM2 in Audacity so I installed the driver again so I could use the second line in too, behringer uphoria um2 driver download, where I would use a dynamic microphone.
But it doesn't get any signal from the mike only from guitar. Or I was just dumb to think it would work with a mike? I can't use mikes in line 2? And the other problem is even if I record something in line 1 and I separate the tracks, the line 1 still plays in the far left and line 2 in the far right, and if I set them to the opposite side, for instance: the line 1 which plays in the left, I try to set to the right to be in the middle it just gets quieter in the left.
Do you any solutions to this? Hi, input 2 is intended for line input, not mic. It doesn't have mic preamp as the input 1 does, so chances are it's not going to work very well with your dynamic mic.
I'd say it'd work but not loud enough. If it doesn't work at all maybe you have a problem somewhere else. Try to plug it to input 1 to see if it works. What you say that happens to you when splitting the track is because you aren't splitting it properly. In Audacity, click in 'Split Stereo to Mono'. Check this pic if you don't know where to find the option. Well yes it works in line 1 but I would use two microphones one behringer uphoria um2 driver download in the bass drum and one condenser for the other drums, but I guess that won't work out.
But anyways thank you, I didn't know how to split properly! Thanks a lot for the driver, I was not able to run both inputs, now it works. I wanted to ask you some questions. Is input 1 unique to microphones or can I connect a bass without doing it wrong? Or is it better to always connect the bass in input 2 and leave the input 1 free? And one more thing: To record I put the volume of the Behinger to the maximum, or I leave it in the middle and I modify the volume in the pc?
Sorry if there is any mistake of understanding, im from Argentina and I am using a translator ;D Greetings! Hi Enzo, you can plug line inputs like a guitar or a bass to any of the inputs, so yes it's fine if you connect a bass to input 1.
For better quality you should turn your PC volume to max and adjust the amplification with the knobs in the interface, behringer uphoria um2 driver download. The lower the amplification the better quality. Hey, another question, when I connect headphones to the interface, the bass sounds for them.
Is there any way I can not hear it? Because when I put some effect for example in the Guitar Rig, I hear two overlapping basses, because on the one hand, I hear it clean from the console and at the same time I hear the effect.
As simple as pressing the 'Direct monitor' button in the front, mate. I would recommend following this list carefully step-by-step, including the "optional" steps. Thanks for sharing man.
Usually you don't need to do any of that to make it work, but maybe is useful for someone. Besides, be sure you still need to install the driver provided in behringer uphoria um2 driver download post before doing that procedure or you will face the problem I talk about.
Came across this from a Google search cos I just got myself a UM2 and wanted to say thanks man, got it working in no time with this driver! Hi in UM2 audio interface, whenever I connect the output of my drums to the Ins2 input of the interface, I get very low output, and some additional noise. The Mic 1 input works fine though and provides good output. The only problem is the Ins2 input.
