She agrees. Paris and him go together to the basketball game. Ted makes fun of Alvin and he runs out. Then, Paris transforms him into a player. They spend some time together and start to like each other. Alvin's dad talks to him about the rubbers he wants to give him. Paris and Al go to a party. Al fixes a car with some rubber. On the last day they go to a free entertainment place and listen to the people.
They go on a hill and Al tells them that they'll make a big break up scene tomorrow. She feels sad. They do make a big scene. Al goes to a party with Yvonne and she drags him into the car and gives him some action. He emails his friends and they booted him out of the clubhouse.
He realizes his mistakes and works hard to get the car fixed. He goes to another basketball game and stick up for his friends. Paris races after him and Dru stops her. Dru tries to convince her that she is the one for him.
Paris tells him "I have other dreams". Happy ending! Nick Cannon goes from nerd to cool guy in this movie. We have seen this plot done many times before in movies. Both of them were using each other. Everyone knew that Christina and Nick would end up together at the end of the movie.
Steve Harvey is the same type of character in every role he plays. I wasn't suppose to go till tomorrow, but i caught a 10 o'clock showing of this movie and other then the very one-sided audience, i was genuinely impressed. Now even though this story has been done a million times, Nick Cannon managed to bring a 21st century "beat" to it, that made me laugh on and on. Now while half the movie i had my head in my hands, thanking God i wasn't in that situation, i still rate this movie among the 4th Quarter's best.
My daughter made me see it twice, and it just got better! It took me back to my high school years- where I was definitely an Alvin. The funny thing is; I cannot pinpoint what makes this movie work for me. Maybe it was the underdog Alvin, maybe it was the lovely 'prom queen'.

Rather, the father actually wants to become a more influential person in Alvin's life.
In fact, the father goes so far that he even tries to distance Alvin from his "nerdy" friends, who might indeed be "nerdy", but are at least genuine friends.
